Teachers' qualification system of adult education can effectively measure the professional development level of adult education teachers.The adult education teachers' qualification system in the United Kingdom(UK)established at the beginning of the 21 st century has developed into a more mature system,which plays an important role in promoting the professional level of the UK adult education teacher and promoting the development of adult education.Due to the late start of the professional development of adult education teacher in our country,the problems such as the teachers' qualification have not get enough attention,and the teachers' qualification system of adult education has not been established.Therefore,conducting a comprehensive,systematic study on the UK adult education teachers' qualification system provides references for promoting the development of adult education and establishing the system in China.This paper takes the UK adult education teachers' qualification system as the research object,adopts the comparative and literature research,theoretical research,historical analysis method and so on,and has a comprehensive,systematic study on the UK adult education teachers' qualification system.Its contents are:(1)the concept of the teachers' qualification system of adult education.Based on the discussion of the definitions in the academic circle at home and abroad,this paper defines the basic connotation of the adult education teachers' qualification system in the UK.(2)based on the theories of teacher professional development and adult education specialization,this paper discusses the adult education teacher specialization and teachers' qualification system in the UK.This paper holds that the theory of adult education specialization and teacher professional development are important theoretical basis for establishing the system.(3)the historical background of the formation anddevelopment of the teachers' qualification system of adult education in the UK.This paper systematically investigates the domestic and international background of the formation and development of the system,and thinks that the international organizations such as UNESCO,EU and national conditions have exerted important influences on the formation and development of the UK adult education teachers' qualification system.(4)the development of the adult education teachers' qualification system in the UK.The system has experienced the following stages:(1)in the 1970s:the concept of adult education teachers' qualification began to emerge;(2)in the 1990s:the problem of adult education teachers' qualification gradually was put forward;(3)at the beginning of 21 st :adult education teachers' qualification system was formally established:(4)from 2007 to this day:adult education teachers' qualification system keeps on a development.(5)the connotation and characteristics of current teachers' qualification system of adult education in the UK.This paper systematically investigates the current adult education teachers' qualification system from the aspects of guiding ideology,applicable scope,qualification conditions and qualification recognition,and summarizes several prominent characteristics of the system,such as authority,standardization,manipuility and inspiration.(6)based on the above study,this paper holds that the UK provides references on the legal construction,organizational guarantee,credit certification and system connotation construction for China to establish teachers' qualification system of adult education.
