The rapid urbanization process has promoted the development of rail transit in all major cities in China.It not only played an important role in solving the problem of traffic congestion,but also provided strong support for the orderly development of the city.The rational layout of urban rail transit can effectively evacuate the population of the central area of the city,promote the migration of the population of the central city to the periphery of the central city,attract the population of the surrounding areas of the city to the city,guide the rational distribution of the urban population,and create a better life.The environment promotes the healthy and harmonious development of the city and ultimately realizes the integration of urban and rural areas.Therefore,whether urban rail transit and population distribution are coordinated and developed is particularly important in the process of urban development.At this stage,the research on urban rail transit and population distribution mostly focuses on the redistribution effect of rail transit on population,or the analysis of the coordination between the two from the perspective of urban spatial structure.The research methods also use qualitative analysis,and the proposed strategy conclusions are mostly based on the traffic level,lacking objective research on the coordination of rail transit and population distribution.This paper combines urban rail transit with population distribution.From a new perspective,it analyzes the theory and actual cases of rail transit and population distribution,and summarizes the interaction between urban rail transit and population distribution.Suzhou is the first prefecture-level city to build a subway,a national historical and cultural city,and a large city with a population of over 10 million.It is special and universal.Taking Suzhou as the research object,this paper analyzes the changes of land use,rail transit development and population distribution at various stages,and summarizes the coordination factors and coordination measures of rail transit and population distribution in Suzhou at this stage.The coordination degree of urban rail transit and population distribution in Suzhou is analyzed from three aspects: land use,distribution characteristics of rail transit passenger flow and population distribution balance.Finally,it proposes a solution strategy for the problems arising in the coordinated development of urban rail transit and population distribution in Suzhou at this stage.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Urban interaction and mutual influence between urban rail transit and population distribution.(2)At present,the urban rail transit and population distribution in Suzhou are uncoordinated,which is reflected in the imbalance of urban population distribution,the unbalanced land use along the rail transit and the imbalance of rail transit passenger flow.(3)In view of the current uncoordinated urban rail transit and population distribution in Suzhou,the characteristics of Suzhou should be combined with the characteristics of Suzhou city;the function of Suzhou central city should be emphasized;by promoting transportation integration,improving operational mode and reasonable Develop and utilize underground resources to concentrate passenger flow and improve the utilization rate of rail transit.Finally,it is proposed that the planning and construction of rail transit and post-operation management are based on actual and advanced planning.Finally,the coordinated development of rail transit and population distribution will be realized.
