With the deepening of education reform,education has become more and more important.Teachers,as disseminators of knowledge,play a very important role in educational activities.Teachers' teaching ability directly determines the level of education.Therefore,more and more experts and scholars pay attention to the issue of " teaching competency ".As an important part of our country's teaching staff,the teaching ability level of new rural teachers directly affects the development of rural education.As an important part of our country's teaching staff,the teaching ability level of new rural teachers directly affects the development of rural education.Therefore,it is necessary to fully investigate the current situation of teaching competence of newly recruited teachers in rural primary schools,find out the problems existing in the teaching competence of newly recruited teachers in rural primary schools,and put forward the countermeasures to improve the teaching competence of newly recruited teachers in rural primary schools.Based on the theory of teaching competence at home and abroad,this study mainly investigates the teaching competence of 42 newly recruited teachers in rural primary schools in L city through questionnaires and interviews.The study finds that the teaching competence of newly recruited teachers in rural primary schools in China at this stage mainly exists in the following aspects: insufficient awareness of students,a large proportion of non-normal teachers,poor teaching skills of and weak teaching ability of teachers.The main reasons are that the recruitment conditions of rural primary school teachers are low,the rural environment is poor,it is difficult to attract outstanding graduates,and the motivation of teachers to improve their self-learning is not strong.Based on the above reasons,the paper puts forward some measures such as carrying out the "specialized" training plan for rural primary school teachers in normal universities,setting up various platforms for activities in rural primary schools,implementing the inter-school exchange plan,perfecting the training system by the competent educational departments,setting up individualized training courses in rural areas and teachers attach importance to their own development and improve their teaching competence from various aspects in order to fundamentally improve the teaching of new rural teachers in China.Learning competency can provide some reference for the professionaldevelopment of new teachers and primary school teachers in rural primary schools,and then improve the quality of rural education.
