Thischaracteristics can distinguish from the excellent performers and the mediocre personin a job. It can be any reliable measurement or count individual characteristics suchas the motivation, peculiarity, attitudes and values,certain aspects of knowledge andbehavioral skills.With the continuous development of the concept of competence, People startedto do a large amount of competence theory and empirical research in psychology,education, industrial and behavioral science. and abundant research results have beenachieved. In recent years, competency research in the field of teachers are present, themain object of study is high school and university teachers. For primary schoolteachers, the main research field is in the primary school teachers of the city. Thestudy of rural primary school teachers were rare. As a result, this research mainly inrural primary school teachers as the research object, take the review table method andbehavioral event interview method for this paper. The writer select the jilin provinceYuShuShi and DeHuiShi four elementary school as the research object, give out theaudit table, and according to the way ithe President nominated selected the sevengood rural primary school teachers and seven ordinary rural primary school teachersto do the interview object, through the analysis of the coding for interview, find outthe different competency characteristics between the outstanding rural primary schoolteachers and ordinary rural primary school teachers, so as to construct the competencymodel.Through analysis, this paper constructed the rural primary school teacherscompetency model mainly includes five dimensions: professional knowledge,professional skills, attitude and moral character, personality and self education.Including19competence characteristics, such as educational knowledge, thediscipline master degrees, general knowledge, communication ability, teaching skills,organization and management ability, information collecting ability, education-loving,love students, respect students, dedication, initiative, responsibility, willpower, earnestrigorous, patience, emotional management ability, reflection, and diligently study.Among them, the professional knowledge, professional skills competencies arelocated on the surface of rural primary school teachers competency model.It can bechange and ascension through training and learning.However, the competency ofattitude, moral character, personality and self-education located in the hidden layer,of rural primary school teachers competency model. It is not easy to acquired by theacquisition of change or development. Therefore, for in-service teachers, we shouldpay attention to their learning and training of knowledge and skills; For the newteachers’ selection, we should pay attention to teachers’ test and inspection in aspect of self-education, personal traits,attitude and moral character.
