Work engagement is a positive,satisfying and work-related mentality characterized by vitality,dedication and focus.Under the background of the shortage of teachers and the heavy mental load of teacher in the special education industrys,improving teachers' work engagement is the top priority in teacher management.Study 1,through in-depth interviews with 20 special education teachers on the impact mechanism of work engagement.The results show that mental resilience,self-worth and empathy are the important psychological variables that influence mental workload on job engagement.In the second study,in order to verify the theoretical hypothesis put forward in the first study,236 teachers in 13 institutions were effectively measured by the Work Involvement Scale,Adult Self-worth Scale,Chinese Version 10 Items Mental Resilience Scale and Task Load Index Scale.The results showed that self-worth and mental resilience were related to the mental load and job commitment of special education teachers.Both of them are protective factors of mental load affecting special education teachers' work engagement.In the third study,in order to explore the effect of team sandpaly and group counseling on improving the work engagement of special education teachers,50 special education teachers were designed for pre-test and post-test.The results show that both team sandpaly and group counseling can effectively promote the improvement of psychological resilience and self-worth of special education teachers and further enhance their work engagement.There is no difference between narrative-oriented group counseling intervention and team sandpaly intervention.In a word,Self-worth and psychological resilience play a mediating role between special education teachers' mental load and work engagement.improving the psychological resilience and self-worth of special education teachers is helpful to improve the level of work engagement of special education teachers.
