Study On Long-distance Marriage And Marriage Stability Of Migrant Workers

The marriage and family problems of migrant workers are a very interesting area.Looking back on previous studies,the academic community mainly focuses on the factors influencing the stability of rural migrant workers'marriage.On the research of the migrant workers beyond the intermarriage,most only focused on the overall condition of migrant workers beyond the intermarriage,the forming reason and the impact on the family,no systematic study of the stability of the migrant workers beyond the intermarriage families.Only some related studies have focused on the reasons for the instability of long-distance intermarriage,and the lack of research on the stable relationship of migrant workers in long-distance marriages.This article adopts the method of qualitative research to putian city NJ village as the research site,collect data by using the method of participant observation and case interview,to explore the causes of the formation of different ground intermarriage,migrant workers social exchange theory analysis of different reasons of disintegration of the relationship of marriage and the survival strategy of marriage.This study shows that the phenomenon of long-distance marriage among migrant workers is the formation of macro micro-causes such as population flow and marriage autonomy enhancement.Because of the difference in their living patterns,the reasons for the breakup of marriage are different.The reasons for the dissolution of cohabiting migrant workers' relationship:(1)marital conflict can easily destroy the relationship between husband and wife and weaken the attraction of marriage;(2)financial constraints make couples' living needs less satisfied and less attractive;(3)conflict between the roles of husband and wife in the roles of husband and wife,which can undermine the relationship between husband and wife and weaken the attraction of marriage;(4)parents support a divorce and have no children.The reasons for the dissolution of the marital relationship of migrant workers:(1)the unequal relationship between husband and wife is liable to cause conflict,destroy the relationship between husband and wife,and weaken the attraction of marriage;(2)basic sexual needs are not met to minimize the attractiveness of marriage;(3)lack of communication leads to emotional estrangement,thus weakening marriage attraction;(4)enhancement of marriage substitution resources;(5)low divorce barriers.(1)emotional,frequent communication and mutual loyalty,trust and understanding between husband and wife to enhance the relationship,enhance the marriage attraction;(2)economically,high household income and timely remittances make life needs satisfied and make marriage more attractive;(3)in power,couples jointly decide the right of family affairs to enhance marriage attractiveness;(4)lack of alternative resources for marriage.(1)the relationship between husband and wife,the frequent communication between husband and wife,the proper resolution of conflict and the common interest and interests of the couple can improve the relationship and the attraction of marriage.(2)economically,the improvement of the family economic situation enhances the marriage appeal;(3)in power,the decision-making power of husband and wife to share family affairs enhances marriage attraction;(4)worry about children and village public opinion against divorce is a great obstacle to divorce.
