Most of the seventeenth,eighteenth and nineteenth National Congresses of the CPC put forward the idea of "improving the ability and quality of rural teachers in an all-round way" as an important part of strengthening the construction of basic education teachers.The "Rural Teacher Support Plan(2015-2020)" promulgated by the State Council in 2015 emphasizes that the construction of rural teachers ranks as a strategic priority for development.The Ministry of Education has carried out a major reform of the national teacher training project,mainly for rural teachers to continuously improve their ability and quality.Based on this background,according to the investigation of the training status of junior middle school geography teachers in rural middle schools,the author puts forward the optimization strategies for training content and training methods.On the basis of literature review and investigation on the training of junior middle school geography teachers in Youyang County,Chongqing,this study finds out the problems existing in the training,such as lack of determination of training content based on the reality of rural geography teachers,lack of pertinence,inadequate participation of teachers in training methods,fewer opportunities for practice,lack of effectiveness,etc.On the basis of the theory of teacher's career cycle,this paper puts forward optimization strategies for the training contents and methods of junior middle school geography teachers in rural areas.The optimization of training contents focuses on knowledge sublimation and strengthening pertinence.It involves enriching physical knowledge,improving knowledge structure,renewing educational ideas,grasping new trends of educational reform,expanding disciplinary horizons and paying attention to interdisciplinary linkages.Force training and strengthening practicality include enhancing the ability of geography education and teaching,enhancing the ability of carrying out geographical practice activities,improving the ability of using geographic information technology under the Internet + background,focusing on quality cultivation and strengthening innovation,involving advocating research and learning integration,promoting rural geography teachers to study and work while studying,developing geography courses,and constructing new school based special schools.Colour course emphasizes cooperative inquiry and formation of cooperative communication.The optimization of training methods focuses on centralized training and effectiveness,involving extensive interaction between students and students,exchange of roles between teachers and students,discussion on geographical topics,and encouraging rural geography teachers to actively participate in the training process;focusing on follow-up practice,focusing on leadership,involving the teaching of famous geography teachers,class-walking observation,front-line teacher demonstration,so as to provide more fully diversified training for the majority of teachers participating in training.Practice: Focus on returning to work practice,pay attention to sustainability,involving solid physical research,adhere to process evaluation,promote training results,and promote teachers to become the new force of implementing quality education in rural middle schools.In this study,the training optimization of junior middle school geography teachers in rural middle schools has been studied in depth,but there are still some shortcomings: the survey scope of junior middle school geography teachers' training in rural middle schools is small,and the number of teachers surveyed should be increased;the practice of returning to work to optimize the training mode is slightly inadequate to follow up and investigate junior middle school geography teachers in rural middle schools,which needs to be in the future.Further exploration of geography teacher training and geography teaching research.
