Research On The Cultivation Of Applied Talents For Science And Engineering Undergraduate In Local High Level Universities

Applied talents in science and engineering are the backbone to promote the development of new economy and the construction of new engineering.As an important part of China's higher education,the most important responsibility of local high-level universities lies in providing support for regional economic development and industrial transformation and upgrading,and plays an important role and mission in the cultivation of high-quality science and technology undergraduate applied talents.Local high-level universities to train application-oriented talents in science and technology are helpful to adapt to economic transformation and upgrading,to optimize the structure of technical talents,to serve the construction of " new engineering" and to realize their own sustainable development.The research found that at present,China's local high-level universities have made remarkable achievements in the training of applied talents for science and engineering undergraduate courses,further promoting the popularization of higher education in China and promoting the diversified development of talent training modes.However,there are still some problems in the process of talent training,mainly manifested in the vague orientation of talent training objectives,insufficient interdisciplinary integration,imbalance of curriculum system,weak links in practical teaching,imperfect quality assurance system,lagging construction of teaching staff,etc.From the perspective of diversification of economic and social demand for talents,this paper comprehensively analyses the problems and causes of Applied Talents Cultivation for undergraduates majoring in science and Engineering in local high-level universities in China,draws lessons from the experience of many schools at home and abroad on applied talents cultivation,and puts forward pertinently to establish a reasonable concept of talents cultivation,clarify the objectives of talents cultivation,promote the construction of characteristic disciplines,and be flexible.Setting up professional and professional clusters;optimizing the construction of application-oriented curriculum system to meet the needs of talents;focusing on "double teachers and double abilities" to build an application-oriented teaching staff;strengthening the training of practical ability,promoting the collaborative education of all staff;improving the quality assurance system,ensuring the quality of personnel training,and other measures to ensure that the quality of undergraduate application-oriented personnel training in local high-level universities can be improved for economic and social purposes.The transformation and upgrading of industrial structure continuously conveys high-quality talents.
