Number series contains abundant mathematical thoughts and methods,which is helpful to improve students' mathematical ability and a good textbook for cultivating students' mathematical literacy.And the number series plays an important role in the college entrance examination.Under the traditional teaching mode,students learn the number series more by rote memorization of formulas,which can not achieve good learning results.In order to solve this problem,the author carries out research on the high school sequence teaching under the PBL mode.Firstly,through consulting the literature,we can understand the development process of PBL model at home and abroad and the current situation of applying PBL model to mathematics field in China.Secondly,the author designs the teaching process of high school mathematics courses according to the PBL model and the requirements of the new curriculum reform for students' mathematical literacy,and presents the specific teaching settings for the teaching design cases of Equal Difference Series and Equal Ratio Series Front and Sum.Counting process.Finally,the changes of students before and after the experiment are tested by a series of test papers and questionnaires.This paper uses empirical research method,comparative research method and questionnaire survey method to conduct in-depth research on the subject,draws experimental conclusions and puts forward teaching suggestions.It is concluded that it is feasible to apply PBL model to high school mathematics teaching,which can improve students' mathematics achievement;change the current situation of students' passive acceptance of knowledge under the traditional teaching mode,stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics,change their learning attitude,and improve their problem-solving ability,especially in terms of learning interest and problem-solving ability.Mathematics literacy of students;the effect in ordinary class is better than that in key class.In the course of this research,the PBL model and the requirements of the new curriculum reform for improving students 'mathematical literacy are closely combined,and a new mathematics course is presented.But PBL model is not suitable for all the contents of high school mathematics,so traditional teaching mode can not be banned.Although the research has some shortcomings,it has some inspirations for the current research of PBL model by Chinese researchers.
