Research On The Impact Of Industrial Upgrading On College Students' Employment

China's industry has been developing from low-tech and low-added value to high-tech and high-added value.The industrial structure has evolved from low-level to high-level,and the internal industry has been continuously optimized and upgraded.In recent years,the proportion of the three industries has changed from"two,three,one" to "three,two,one" and the employment structure has changed accordingly.Industrial upgrading is not only related to economic development,but also affects social employment.At the same time,the coordinated development of industrial upgrading and employment is one of the criteria to measure the health of a country or region's economic development.High-level industries need high-level labor force.The key to industrial upgrading is to give full play to the advantages of human capital of labor force.However,as a high-quality labor force,college students are facing difficulties in employment.College students are the future of national development.The employment difficulty of university students is a hot topic of social concern.Exploring the impact of industrial upgrading and college students'employment can help us understand the current employment situation of College students,and provide explanations and suggestions on how to promote college students' employment in the current economic form.This paper argues that industrial upgrading is mainly reflected in two aspects:industrial restructuring and technological upgrading.And the industrial structure adjustment is divided into two aspects:advanced and rationalized.Advanced industrial structure is the evolution of industrial structure from low-level to high-level form,which is reflected in the increase of the proportion of tertiary industry and technology-intensive industries;rationalization of industrial structure is to measure the quality of industrial convergence;improvement of technological level represents the improvement of labor productivity,technological progress and product added value..At the same time,referring to the relevant literature,taking into account other factors affecting college students'employment,wage level,urbanization and education level.This paper will study the impact of industrial upgrading on College Students'employment from three aspects:industrial restructuring,technological progress and other factors.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,introducing the background,literature review,research purpose and research methods.The literature review is divided into two parts:the study of industrial upgrading and employment,and the study of industrial upgrading and college students'employment.The second part collates the statistical yearbooks over the years,and analyses the development of the three industries and the employment development of College students.In the third part,by studying the changing rules of industrial expansion elasticity,employment elasticity and structural deviation,we analyze the impact of industrial structure on employment structure,and explore the general trend of employment change of college students in the future.The results show that there are a large number of surplus labor force in the primary industry which need to be transferred.The amount of labor force absorbed by the secondary industry is still very large,but it is constantly weakening.The tertiary industry develops rapidly and has strong ability to absorb labor force.After that,college students are mainly employed in the third industry.The fourth part is empirical analysis.Based on the C-D function,the regression model of industrial upgrading and related factors affecting college students'employment is developed and constructed.Then using the panel data of 29 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions in China from 2002 to 2016,this paper divides the whole country into eastern,western and Eastern parts,and compares the regression results,and analyses the impact of various factors of industrial upgrading on the employment of College students.The results show that industrial upgrading can promote the employment of university students.Among them,the upgrading of industrial structure is significantly positively related to college students'employment,while the rationalization of industrial structure is significantly negatively related,but the impact is weak.Technological progress is significantly positively related to college students' employment,and the role of promoting employment of college students in central China is particularly obvious.Wage level has no obvious impact on college students'employment,but increasing wage level in the central region will inhibit college students' employment;improving urbanization level has no significant impact on college students'employment,but promoting urbanization in the eastern region can obviously promote the employment of College students;improving education level can significantly promote college students' employment.The fifth part is to summarize the full text and put forward policy suggestions.
