The two movements of squat and leg lifting are the most commonly used training actions in bodybuilding to increase the muscle content of lower limbs and shape the muscle shape of lower limbs. However,in bodybuilding and fitness activities, the study of muscle stimulation is mostly indirect measurement or calculation, which does not directly reflect the degree of muscle stimulation.Due to the lack of basic scientific research, many exercisers and coaches do not have a clear understanding of the movements,so the choice of movements cannot really stimulate the muscles they want to train, nor can they develop the muscles well.Surface electromyography technology has been widely used in sports research.Surface electromyography technology can clearly analyze the strength, recruitment degree and contribution rate of each muscle when it completes the movement.By using surface electromechanical technology, this paper analyzes the two movements of squat and leg lifting,so that coaches and bodybuilding enthusiasts can have rules to follow in their choice of training movements.By using the methods of literature review, expert interview, experiment, mathematical statistics and comparative analysis, this paper selects 10 male volunteers from Beijing University of Physical Education who are not bodybuilding but have sports experience to carry out the surface electromyography experiments of deep squatting and leg lifting.Through the analysis of the root mean square amplitude, integral electromyography and contribution rate of electromyography,it explores and compares the difference of the stimulation degree of deep squatting and leg lifting on lower limb muscles. The main results are as follows:(1)Both squat and leg lifting have obvious stimulation to quadriceps femoris, and leg lifting has stronger stimulation to quadriceps femoris than squat. The stimulation of quadriceps femoris was stronger at the stage of squat and leg up than at the stage of down.Of the quadriceps femoris, the stimulation to the medial thigh muscle was the strongest. For the training of quadriceps femoris, leg lifting can be used.(2)The stimulation of squat and leg lifts to gluteus maximus is less than that of quadriceps femoris, and squat stimulates gluteus maximus more than leg lifts. For gluteus maximus training, squat can be used.(3)The stimulation degree of deep squats to the semitendinosus and biceps femoris is greater than that of leg lifts, and the stimulation of deep squats and leg lifts to the biceps femoris and semitendinosus is greater than that to the downward. For the training of semitendinosus and biceps femoris, you can use squat down.(4)The stimulation of squat to tibialis anterior is greater than that of leg lift, and neither squat nor leg lift has much stimulation to gastrocnemius muscle.tibialis anterior has great stimulation in the downward phase and gastrocnemius has great stimulation in the upward phase.Deep squats and leg lifts raise a higher degree of calf, but the total discharge is smaller. This indicates that squat and leg lifting are not suitable for developing calf muscles. It is not recommended to train tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius with squat and leg lifts.
