Estimation is widely applied both in daily life and in mathematics learning.Such as: daily life in tourism,shopping,etc.,estimation learning,can be used to estimate the results of the test,can be used to estimate the trial business.Therefore,estimation is an important skill in mathematics learning,and it is also a necessary skill in life.It has its unique value.How to effectively carry out the teaching of estimating plays an important role in cultivating students’ sense of number and awareness of estimating and developing their ability of estimating,which is a hot issue facing teachers.The promulgation of the compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard(2011 Edition)has further affirmed the important position of "estimation".Therefore,it is necessary to study the estimation of teaching.By reading a large number of relevant literature at home and abroad,this paper summarizes and combs the estimation and related concepts,and learns relevant theories.The author believes that estimation refers to the ability to reasonably infer only one of the quantitative relations,which sometimes is also the ability to perform precise digital processing or numerical operations without being necessary.Estimation is a way to check whether the actuarial result is correct.By using the methods of literature analysis and questionnaire survey,this paper studies the actual situation of the estimation teaching of Grade 3-6 in G-center primary school from two aspects of teachers and students.It is found that the main problems in the current primary school mathematics estimation teaching are: neglecting the estimation teaching,the estimation consciousness is weak;mastering the estimation.There are fewer strategies and methods,and the teaching objectives of estimating are not clear;the results of estimating are simply evaluated by actuarial criteria;the students are not given enough time to think and communicate algorithms;Lack of organic combination of estimation and Actuarial Science.The main reasons for the above problems in primary school estimation teaching can be summarized as follows: The teaching materials are not well represented in the knowledge content arrangement;Teachers do not have a deep understanding of the estimation teaching and lack of corresponding teaching experience that can be used for reference;Actuarial teaching thought influenced the teaching of estimation;There is contradiction between teaching practice and teaching concept.In view of the existing problems in the teaching of estimation,combined with the analysis of its causes,and guided by the relevant theories of estimation teaching,this paper puts forward operable teaching strategies.The improvement strategies of estimation teaching mainly include: seriously studying the new curriculum standards;attaching importance to estimation teaching;adhering to the special teaching principles of estimation;implementing effective estimation teaching strategies.The aim is to provide ideas and perspectives for the majority of primary school mathematics teachers to carry out estimation teaching.
