With the development of China,people’s life quality is constantly being improved.Under the implementation of the one-child policy,the number of only children is increasing,also with a series of social problems.,among which,the physical health of adolescents has been highly concerned by the state and society.Junior middle school stage is an important stage of nine-year compulsory education,and this stage is also an important stage during students’ physical development.At the same time,this stage is also a key stage of physical quality development.So it should be paid special attention to.According the characteristics of the students in this stage,with the reference of the results of FMS test,in this study the contents of physical function training are formulated with the subjects of junior high school students in Grade 3,in order to improve students’ sports ability,reduce the risk of sports injury and improve students’ physical quality.Through this study,we can complement and perfect the research in related fields,provide more comprehensive and scientific theoretical basis and reference for the application of functional movement screening and training in middle school physical education,and provide practical basis and guidance value.During this research,the methods of literature,interview,experiment and mathematical statistics are mainly used.The junior high school students in Grade 3 of Shijiazhuang Foreign Language School are selected as the experimental subjects with the experimental period of 11 weeks,including 3 weeks of test time.During the experiment,the students participated in the physical training part of the physical education class to carry out physical function training.The test contents are divided into two parts: functional action screening and physical fitness test.The following results were obtained after experiments.(1)After eight weeks of experimental intervention,the scores of the seven movements in the FMS test were all significantly improved,and the P values were all less than 0.01.The differences were very significant.The total scores of the seven movements were also greatly improved,P values were less than 0.01.The difference was still very significant.(2)After eight weeks of experimental intervention,the mean difference of left and right side scores of the five asymmetric movements was significantly reduced,compared with that before the experiment,and the difference of left and right side functions of the body was significantly reduced.(3)After eight weeks of experimental intervention,the physical fitness of the subjects were significantly improved.The P values of 50-meter running and 1-minute sit-ups were less than 0.05,and the differences were significant.The P values of these five indexes were all less than 0.01,and the difference was very significant.The following conclusions can be drawn from the experimental results.(1)Physical function training is reasonable and suitable for junior high school students.(2)After 8 weeks of training,the scores of seven FMS tests of junior high school students have been significantly improved.Physical function training can significantly improve and strengthen the students’ core stability,hip stability and flexibility,shoulder stability and flexibility,knee stability and flexibility,ankle stability and flexibility.(3)Physical function training has a significant effect on improving the physical quality of junior high school students,especially the flexibility,strength and endurance.
