With the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform,group cooperative learning has generally entered the primary school language classroom.Reading teaching is the most important part of Chinese teaching.The effect of group cooperative learning in primary school Chinese reading teaching is not ideal,and has not achieved the desired results.Team cooperative learning has produced some problems in the application process,which has affected the achievement of educational and teaching objectives.This study seeks to explore ways to improve group cooperative learning in primary school Chinese reading teaching,in order to achieve better teaching effect,so that group cooperative learning can better serve primary school Chinese reading teaching.Firstly,through the methods of literature,observation and interview,this paper investigates the situation of group cooperative learning in the teaching of Chinese reading in primary schools in Chongqing.The overall situation of group cooperative learning in the teaching of Chinese reading in primary schools and its differences in different grades.Through the investigation and study of the present situation,it is found that there are some problems in group cooperative learning in primary school Chinese reading teaching,such as uneven participation of students,low enthusiasm of students,inadequate monitoring of the process by teachers,single evaluation mechanism by teachers.The reasons for these problems are further sorted out: inadequate teachers’ teaching design level,inappropriate choice of teachers’ cooperative tasks,and teachers’ education and teaching.The task of study is heavy,and there are great differences among students.Finally,according to the results of the analysis,some suggestions are put forward for the first-line teachers in the group cooperative learning of primary school Chinese reading teaching: to strengthen their own cooperative literacy,carefully design teaching,select appropriate learning support,strengthen process monitoring and guidance,and adopt a variety of evaluation methods.
