A Research Of The Path And Strategy Of Local Universities Serving Regional Economic And Social Development

The rise and development of knowledge economy has brought the changes of the economic development mode,and social production has shifted from dependence on resources to the science,technology and talents.As the main position of personnel training,the base of scientific and technological innovation and the source of culture,local universities are the important forces to lead the development of national and regional economy and society.As a result,the higher education develop rapidly,universities have moved to the social center and become an important force leading local economic and social development.The state clearly stipulates that universities should establish social service consciousness firmly and carry out it in an all-round way.Local universities are the important part of the national higher education system.They undertake the historical mission of providing talents and technology,inheriting and innovating culture for regional economic construction and social development.However,in the practice of social service in local universities,there are some problems,such as weak connection between talent training and social needs,low conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements,and weak ability of cultural inheritance and innovation.It is of great practical significance to study the problems of serving regional economic and social development in local universities,to explore ways of optimizing service development,and to put forward strategies of serving regional economic and social development in local universities.A wide range of domestic and foreign related economic,educational and management works,academic journals,excellent and rich papers,network information,etc.were collected,analyzed,collated domestic and foreign theoretical and empirical case literature,gradually formed the overall idea of this topic,determine the research framework and methods.First,discusses the research background,significance,domestic and foreign research trends,research ideas and methods of this topic.Second,defining the core concepts of local universities,social services and regional economy,and elaborate the theoretical basis of social services of local universities.Third from the perspective of University function,this paper analyses the path of university serving regional economy and society.That is to say,training high-quality talents,application research and achievement transformation,cultural inheritance and radiation.Next taking Yangtze University as an example,this paper analyses Yangtze University's practice of serving regional economic and social development,summarizes experience and finds problems.Finally,aiming at the problems existing in the process of serving regional economic and social development,this paper analyses the reasons and puts forward some countermeasures for optimizing service.By establishing the concept of active service to society,improve service awareness;adjust the layout of disciplines and specialties,cultivate high-quality talents needed by society;strengthen applied research,improve the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements;pay attention to the construction of campus culture,and create a good social service cultural environment.To comprehensively enhance the ability and level of local colleges and universities to serve regional economic and social development.
