The map is irreplaceable in the geography class,junior high school is an important period to cultivate learners' geographical thinking,the situation of learners' geographical thinking and geography teachers' knowledge in class play a key role,in the traditional geography teaching,the geography teacher ignored the deep excavation of the map,and paid less attention to the cultivation of learners' thinking habits.Therefore,in order to better utilize classroom resources to train students' geographical thinking,this article takes a county high school as the research object,understands the school student's thought situation,the teacher map teaching situation and then puts forward the corresponding measure.This paper combines a large number of literatures to understand the related concepts of thinking ability,domestic and foreign research situations,and design questionnaires.In view of the first and second students of this school,the author studies the cultivation of students' geographic thinking ability.The geographical thinking of this paper mainly analyzes students' geographic thinking from four aspects: spatial thinking,logical thinking,image thinking and innovative thinking.Moreover,the geography teachers in the experimental middle school were interviewed to understand the teaching situation of teachers,and finally,the experimental data were used to verify whether the map teaching had improved the students' geographical thinking ability.This paper mainly adopts questionnaire survey method and experiment method to understand the current situation of students' geographical thinking ability through questionnaires.According to the actual situation,the teachers' teaching and research design classroom teaching cases are applied to the experimental class,while the control class applies the traditional teaching methods.Through the experiment,the students' academic performance has been improved,and the students are more motivated to study the geography course,which indicates that the map teaching has improved the students' geographical thinking ability.This paper is mainly divided into the following four parts:First,the research background,research significance,related concepts,theoretical basis,such as content,to analyze the map teaching of geographical thinking ability training,and through some simple case for example analysis.Second,design the questionnaire and analysis of the questionnaire found that map teaching can attract students' attention and improve the students' interest in students,also can be in in a relaxed learning atmosphere to form the corresponding geographical thinking,But due to various reasons,teachers' attention to the cultivation of students' geographical thinking ability insufficient,the professional quality of teachers,students,such as the basis of the reasons lead to students' geographical thinking ability needs to be improved.Thirdly,through the analysis of the questionnaire,it is found that the problem of students' thinking ability is cultivated.Not only the students' interest in learning,learning foundation is weak,there are certain problems in the teachers' teaching on the map,and the problems existing in the teaching experience of teachers,and proposes the related countermeasure in view of the problem.Fourthly,according to the students' actual and present problems,the relevant strategies are used in classroom teaching,design classroom teaching cases,and carry out the test before and after,according to the students' achievements,the analysis shows that map teaching can help students' geographic thinking ability.
