In recent years,with the deepening of college entrance examination reform and the establishment and improvement of new curriculum standards,China's education is moving in a more advanced direction.However,the enthusiasm of many Chinese students to study abroad has not diminished.With the heat of studying abroad,Chinese students studying abroad are developing at a younger age,from the former college graduates,to secondary school students,and even primary school students.The International Department of various schools also arises spontaneously.Although this phenomenon has become widespread,the study of high school preparatory students is still a new thing.In particular,the survey of motives for studying abroad is a minority.As a new educational institution,the International Department lacks scientific teaching guidance.The purpose of this study is to develop a questionnaire on the motivation of high school preparatory students to study abroad,to investigate and study the motivation of high school preparatory students to study abroad,to analyze the various factors affecting motivation,and to give guidance and suggestions to high school preparatory students,to help high school preparatory students to study abroad,and to give high school international department at the same time,some suggestions and guidance for teaching and preparing foreign students' families.The object of this study is to prepare foreign students in senior high schools.Under the guidance of motivation theory and learning motivation theory,this paper makes a questionnaire and tests its reliability and validity.A questionnaire survey was conducted on the motivation of the preparatory foreign students from Grade 1 to Grade 3 of a senior high school in Chengdu.Correlation analysis,regression analysis and difference analysis were conducted on different types of motivation and influencing factors.Through the results of the questionnaire,we give guidance and suggestions to the preparatory international students and senior high school international teaching.Through the research,the main motivations of preparing foreign students to study abroad in high school nowadays include: environment attraction motivation,acquisition of recognition motivation,self-development needs motivation,learning needs motivation and so on.Factors affecting various types of motivation include dissatisfaction with domestic education,the influence of information diversification in the surrounding environment,the influence of foreign life and culture,and the influence of social environment and public opinion.
