Study Of The Thought Of University Students' Ideological And Political Education Proposed By Xi Jinping

College students are the future of the motherland and the hope of the nation,and the realization of the Chinese dream relies on the continuous strives by the youth from generations to generations.The status of ideological and political education of college students is directly related to the long-term stability of the country and the future and destiny of the party.The party and the state have paid great attention to it.Xi Jinping places an extreme emphasis on ideological and political education for university students,for which he has come up with a series of important conclusions intended as a set of theoretical guidelines on how we are expected to undertake the task of delivering ideological and political education to our university students.Considering the highly complicated situations both domestically and internationally,as well as a mix of different ideologies held within the world,we are presented with a rather tough challenge of providing our university students with correct ideological and political education.In order to address it,we have a number of key questions that need to be answered first,how could we stick to Marxism despite a variety of non-Marxism ideologies,as well as what could we do to eliminate the influence made by those non-Marxism ideologies while developing the Chinese-styled socialist economy.With an addition of the findings from current academic research and our prior study on some of the major publications as well as the key speeches made by Xi Jinping,this article represents a fairly systematic research into his views on how to approach the ideological and political education for university students.On the whole,it consists mainly of four parts,with the first part as an introduction to the readers of the background to the research,the purposes and potential implications of it,the details about how it was conducted,the focus and difficulties in carrying out the research,as well as some novel ideas coming out of it.The second part is typically about the theories from which Xi Jinping's ideology originates.It's illustrated with an analysis which is done separately from tow different perspectives including the essence of traditional Chinese culture,the key education-related theories and achievements as contributed by some of the best-known Marxism writers.The third part is focused on a discussion as to what it entails for Xi Jinping's ideology in relation to the ideological and political education for university students,and more importantly how to enforce it in practice.His ideology involves the things from belief education,socialist core values education,responsibility education,patriotism education,to legal education,all of which need to be implemented through a series of actions like enhanced in-school ideological and political education,as well as prioritized social practice and home education.The fourth and last part highlights the features of Xi Jinping's ideology,being extensive,advanced,precisely-applicable and pragmatic,to be concluded with an analysis of its knockon implications both in theory and in practice.
