The development of science and technology brings tremendous changes to people's life and learning styles,which also provides a new opportunity for the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At present,mobile phones have become an indispensable life partner for people.On the purpose of communication,SMS has the the advantage of being inexpensive,quick and has no time and place restrictions,it can also be used as an auxiliary and supplement to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The author found in the study that there are few researches paying attention to Chinese teaching by mobile phones.Therefore,in order to keep the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in line with the trend of the times and to make it more scientific and technical,the author takes Surrathani School as an example to discuss the application of SMS in primary Chinese teaching in Thailand.The research proves the effectiveness of SMS in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The author verifies the validity of SMS in teaching Chinese as a foreign language by means of research,and explores some teaching methods.It also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of SMS teaching and puts forward some teaching suggestions.First of all,the first two chapters of this article elaborate the purpose and the meaning of this research,and domestic and overseas summary of related researches of SMS teaching method.Secondly,chapter three and chapter four introduce the advantages and tactics of using SMS in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and further analyze its theoretical basis and feasibility.Then,in chapter five,this article takes the primary level high school students of two classes in Suratthani School as the research object to illustrate the application of SMS in Chinese teaching.Through the analysis of the participation times and test scores of SMS in experimental class,the author has obtained the formula of calculation,which proves that there is a positive correlation between the test scores and the number of SMS messages.With the comparative analysis of experimental classes and ordinary class without SMS auxiliary teaching,the author found that the former is better than latter.The results show that SMS can be applied to primary Chinese teaching in Thailand and will play a positive role.Finally,based on the experimental results,the author discusses the achievements and shortcomings of this study and puts forward some teaching suggestions.
