In the current society, there is a group of important aging veterans who have served in the war to resist U.S.aggression and aid Korea, crushed the rebellion in the Tibet and war of liberation. They not only face the same dilemma as that of other senior citizens, but meanwhile, they suffer from loneliness,self-denial,decline in value of life and meaning due to aging, weakness, financial difficulty and limited social activities, influencing their physical and psychological health as well as the happy twilight years. Therefore,to meet their complicated needs, social workers should integrate all resources and offer targeted services. The case study in the paper takes individuals with multiple requirements and problems as the starting point, then, makes efficient adjustment and offers social working model according to individual characteristics under the given environment. This paper made demand investigation analysis for part of veterans in the gerocomium,Y county, who have attended wars and intervened in the cases by narrative therapy.First at all,the paper learned stories took place in the wars told by the veterans, laying a foundation for problem emergence. In the second stage, the author separated problems from veterans themselves to help clarify facts by externalizing problems.Last of all,the author reconstructed the stories and highlighted the ignored sense of honor as well as the sense of belonging so as to help veterans build confidence in life and gain recognition from others.Despite a case study, the paper is of universality in some degree.By using narrative therapy of the case study and analyzing demand types and causes of veterans, the paper made professional practice and reflection, summarized solutions and methods, providing assumption and suggestion for aging veterans.
