It is clearly indicated that a much-focused attention has been paid to the education of Chinese Classics during secondary schooling in some relevant parts of Chinese curriculum standards for full-time compulsory education(2011)and Language Curriculum Standard in High School.(2017).However,based on the feedback from the process of Reading Chinese Classics,it proves to be a case that students have been losing their drive and enthusiasm for it because teachers mainly employ rote learning,which shows the methods of guiding students in learning tend to be less diverse.Reading Chinese classics plays a crucial role in passing Chinese traditional cultures down to next generations,cultivating students' literacy complishments and perfecting their personalities,etc.on the basis of the general learning situation,educators should strive to generate students' enthusiasm and eagerness for Chinese Classics by means of designing appropriate learning materials and developing variety of ways of diversifying learning resources,enabling students to enjoy the real pleasure while learning in order to accumulate their literary and enrich their minds.The goal of improving the effectiveness of Chinese Classics teaching can only be achieved through efforts of all kinds.The most important of all is developing suitable teaching materials as solid foundation,which can't be neglected from the beginning.However,there still exist various kinds of weaknesses in contents,ways and extents of the resources about Chinese Classics in primary schooling.From the aspect of contents of the developed materials,problems exist in different ways which exhibit themselves as follows:inadequacy in quality,incoherence in contents and incompatibility with students of different levels.Besides,school-launched activities have less stimulating influence on teaching Chinese Classics.The reasons for the problems above are that both publishers and developers pay less focus on the quality of their products,that choices of classic poems and essays are not considered from students' abilities of understanding and that different students have various tastes in the reading materials.From the aspect of ways of developing the materials,school teachers involved are not capable enough to participate in the tasks.What's worse,neither teachers nor students have a low participation rate.As for social forces,a part of them provide low-quality resources for users.Coinciding with the situation,there exists serious piracy problems.Also,developing multi-media resources in diverse forms is no easy work.There are three reasons for those problems.First,students and teachers participating in the projects are not qualified enough to do the work.Second,publishers prefer to produce similar reading materials following the ones on the market rather than develop their own.Third,teams' abilities vary in developing suitable materials.From the aspect of the extents of developing teaching materials,there have been no authoritative textbooks on the market,although large in numbers but unorganized in contents.At the same time,publishing high-scale after-class reading materials are highly expensive.Some materials are low-quality.Other TV programs are difficult to promote and there are fewer choices on functions of Wechat and other APPs which tend to have more chargeable services.In schools,there are usually fewer and undesirable activities.The reasons for those problems are as follows.Firstly,there is an upper limit on the total amount of poems and essays to be chosen for students' textbooks.Secondly,media-based resources are generally strictly supervised.Thirdly,developers involved lack close communication and cooperation.Fourthly,book publishers concentrate more on the profits and less on the quality of their products.At last,students' uniquenesses are neglected in the relevant activities.There are certain rules for developers to follow in order to design suitable resources.Students oriented,Teachers oriented,Coherence in contents,Diversity in methods.According to Curriculum Standards,along with the current learning situation and teaching materials,it is of great importance for educators to stick to the above rules to give advice accordingly to solve the problems mentioned previously.At one hand,it is crucial to make full use of reading materials.Students are supposed to be a part of the team engaging in developing school-based textbooks,regional textbooks.What's more,recommending age-appropriate reading materials can never be ignored.On the other hand,social media resources should be fully used.TV stations,especially spearheaded by the ones in the main stream should manage to produce high-quality programs under the guidance and supervision of the government.
