The rapid development of knowledge economy complicates and professionalizes problems that need to be solved in scientific researches.A growing number of experts suggest to merge methods and theories from different disciplines and promote scientific development through cooperation. As research cooperation gradually becomes common,a new kind of cooperation of interdisciplinary team draws the attention of the world academia. In the process of establishing interdisciplinary teams, university interdisciplinary administrators are faced with a series of significant management problems, such as selecting appropriate team members from different disciplines, and promoting effective multi-discipline cooperation. It is imperative to acknowledge and grasp the generation mechanism of interdisciplinary team innovation and performance. At present, related researches mainly take the interdisciplinary team establishment as a whole research program which mainly involves interdisciplinary team establishment, knowledge management and performance evaluation, but is devoid of deepening researches on internal transactive innovation mechanism and performance competitive advantage of interdisciplinary team.On the basis of current background of times, this thesis uses research results of relative articles for references, studies university interdisciplinary cooperation with methods of structural equation model and hierarchy regression analysis, and analyzes the influence mechanism of heterogeneity factors on scientific and research innovation performances by using sample statistics from questionnaires and transactive memory system theories. The thesis aims to analyze how does their act of mode be affected by expertise, credibility, and coordination which are the three dimensions of transactive memory system. This thesis also carries a supplementary analysis on how do regulating effects of task interdependence affect the function trend of heterogeneity.First, this thesis reviews previous researches on interdisciplinary teams, heterogeneity, innovative performances and transactive memory system, selects its research variables, and explicitly introduces its innovation and research contents. It then defines each variable concept, including concept definition, feature conclusion and research scope of interdisciplinary research and interdisciplinary team;the concept and selective classification of heterogeneity in interdisciplinary team;the concept of task interdependence for this research;and specific expansion on the concept, measurement and possible influence factors of transactive memory system and its possible existence mechanism in interdisciplinary team.Second, this thesis identifies dimensions of variables and their relations through literature reviews.Structure equation action path model is established on the basis of “input-processoutput” logical relationship, which is the theoretical analysis framework of the thesis.Based on this, the design of questionnaires is conducted by taking examples of maturity scales and consulting experts. The thesis uses preliminary questionnaires to optimize scales so that they are qualified for formal questionnaires. In the end,the thesis conducts questionnaire surveys and data analyses on transactive memory system and its influence paths of the interdisciplinary team heterogeneity. The result of questionnaires verifies research hypothesis and further demonstrates partial mediation effect of transactive memory system and moderating effect of task independence. On the basis of this, the thesis put forward policy advices on strengthening and improving interdisciplinary team management.
