The new work is a new topic in present research, and it is also an important problem that our government pays close attention to in the background of China's new economy. It is worth noting that the research on the new work and new profession by the domestic and foreign scholars has just started, and the theoretical analysis and empirical research on China is rare. Therefore,to a large extent, this topic is still a relatively new topic. The purpose of this article is to carry out theoretical and empirical research on this problem.Based on the analysis of the new economic growth theory, the new economic geography theory and the endogenous economic growth theory, this paper holds that human capital can promote the new work through the following mechanisms: first, human capital has a positive impact on the new work through spillover effect;Second, human capital has a positive impact on the new work through technical progress;Third, human capital has a positive impact on the new work through innovation and entrepreneurship.Specifically speaking, from the perspective of human capital, this paper makes an empirical study on the problem of human capital and the emergence of new work in China by means of the statistics of the new profession in China's city since 1982.The empirical research based on urban data shows that human capital is an important factor affecting the new work. This conclusion demonstrates the externalization of human capital from the perspective of new work.Further research on different skill level also finds that the promotion effect of human capital on high skilled new profession is significantly greater than that of low skilled new profession.
