Analysis Of Status Quo And Countermeasures Of Law Education In Ideological And Political Lessons Of Senior High Schools

Law education on teenagers is of great importance in the new period of administrating the country by law in a comprehensive manner.The Fourth Plenary Session of the 18 th Central Committee of CPC clearly pointed out that law education will have to be incorporated into civil education system,and law curriculums should be set up in primary and secondary schools,starting the education from teenagers.Schools are main places to conduct law education on senior high school students,and ideological and political lessons are principal battlefields,shouldering crucial responsibility for law education for high school students and having incomparable value.It is of great significances to carry out law education in ideological and political lessons of senior high schools: an important way to prevent adolescent crime,a necessary means to develop law awareness of high school students,an essential guarantee to create harmonious and stable school environment,and a focus to build a legal country of socialism.How to strengthen law education in ideological and political lessons of senior high schools remain further research significances.Admittedly,under the vigorous support and promotion from all walks of life,some achievements of law education have been achieved,but some problems are still to be solved.Based on researches on law education at home and abroad,this article designs questionnaires for teachers and students to research the status quo of law education in ideological and political lessons of senior high schools,and conducts a sample survey in five schools in Sichuan Province.Combined with results of sample survey and individual interviews,finds out the problems from the respects of students,teachers,and the textbooks,as well as the reasons for the problems through the data of sample survey,separate interpretations from the student level,teacher level,school level and social level and makes preparations for proposals for countermeasures of perfecting law education in ideological and political lessons of senior high schools.The last part of this article analyzes the countermeasures in accordance with collected research results of experts and scholars from home and abroad and the summarized existing problems and reasons for law education in ideological and political lessons of senior high schools.First of all,strengthen the top design.Related departments are supposed to actively take participation in the revision of textbooks,adjustment of contents of law education,improvement of teachers' professionalism of laws,and perfection of the evaluation system of law education.Secondly,implement specific strategies.Students should give full play to subjective initiative,teachers are required to well-prepare for the law courses,enrich teaching methods of laws,and optimizing the implicit course of law Education.
