At present,the elementary student’s mental health in our country has many hidden dangers.On the one side,the growing social problems,such as the prevalence of the one-child family,the popularity of network with information explosion and so on,bring to the elementary student’s mental health in different degree of negative impact.On the other side,elementary education reform,more or less neglected the elementary student’s social development,whose social survival ability,interpersonal skills and self-management ability are relatively lacking,which lead to mental illness and induce bad behaviorsSocial and Emotional Learning(SEL)is one educational practice developed by American scholar,which used to solve various kinds of psychological health problems appeared in the process of child development.The project aims to help children adapt to society,to improve emotional intelligence in a timely manner.Social and Emotional Learning with practice as the core develops and implements a variety kinds of course to explore reasonable implementation strategies and validate the effect of related courses,having a strong experimental quality and proved to be effective.The article will design a course program of SEL conforming to elementary student’s actual situation in our country based on classic courses in Social and Emotional Learning and the actual situation of domestic primary school teaching.In order to test Social and Emotional Learning in the effectiveness of the domestic primary school application,experiments were carried out to study the primary students from Wusong River School in Kunshan.Two classes in grade two were randomly selected as experimental group and control group,and experimenter gives SEL lessons in line with the domestic education teaching practice to experimental group students.The results of the experiment show that the SEL curriculum contributes to our primary school students’ social ability,emotion management ability and the advantage of academic achievement,and the effect is remarkable.The educationexperiment of Social Emotional Learning in the domestic primary school illustrates that the project can be implemented in the domestic primary school which has important significance in deepening of curriculum reform and popularization of quality education.
