Non-linear thinking is a way of thinking closer to nature and reality,and various areas of natural science have begun to advocate this way of thinking to deal with complexity issues.In the field of chemistry education,non-linear thinking methods can provide students with new ideas for solving complex problems in real situations,but there is little attention.The purpose of this study is to establish the characteristics and level of non-linear thinking in chemistry.Through testing,we can understand the level of chemical non-linear thinking of middle school students and the differences among students in different categories.This study sorts out the concept development,discipline application,and evaluation research of ?non-linear thinking? in the field of thinking and discipline science.Based on the complexity of chemical disciplines,it builds a horizontal framework of chemical nonlinear thinking,and it will be chemically nonlinear.The characteristics of thinking are summarized as holistic,emergent,dynamic,divergent and open,and each feature is divided into four levels according to the specific thinking.According to the constructed chemical non-linear thinking level framework,a corresponding test tool was prepared,and the tool was used to test high school students.The overall level of chemical non-linear thinking of middle school students was not high,and the development of each dimension was unbalanced;high school boys were compared to girls in chemistry.The improvement of non-linear thinking is more obvious;the cultivation of students' non-linear thinking needs to be conducted in a targeted manner.This study will introduce "non-linear thinking" in the field of philosophy into chemistry education,and provide new theoretical support for the cultivation of students' thinking mode,with a view to providing reference for the cultivation of non-linear thinking in chemistry teaching.
