With the decrease of rural students, rural areas began to adjust the school layout and the integrate educational resources, resulting in more and more rural boarding students. As at end of 2015,the total number of boarding students in rural primary schools has reached 9.55 million, and the total number of boarding students in rural junior high schools has reached 16.831 million. The group of boarding students in rural areas is growing larger and larger, and the influence of boarding on the development of students is still controversial. However, most people still think that the physical and mental development of boarding students will be adversely affected because of the lack of kinship. The boarding schools in rural areas do not arrange after-school activities on the grounds of safety, boarding students live in school relatively simple, mainly learning activities and interpersonal activities, closed environment and repeated daily daily activities of the boarders are more prone to learning burnout than ordinary students. The study shows learning burnout includes external factors such as learning burden, bad interpersonal relationship, and internal factors such as individual characteristics, coping styles and so on.As one of the interpersonal stressors of learning burnout, this study selected the peer adaptation and the teacher-student adaption to measure students' interpersonal adaptation levels. In addition, the level of behavioral adaptation can reflect what kind of feedback an individual makes under the external environment,it can reflect the personality characteristics and mental health level under pressure. Therefore, explicit behavioral adaptation and implicit emotional adaptation are selected to measure the behavioral adaptation level of boarding students.Learning burnout was measured by the widely used Youth Learning Burnout scale developed by Wu Yan.Based on this, this paper investigates 1527 boarding students in 15 rural boarding schools in Jilin province, including 717 primary school boarding students and 810 middle school boarding students, based on the investigation of their interpersonal adaptation, behavioral adaptation and learning burnout, analyzed the relationship between the three variables. The main conclusions of the study are: 1)The rural boarding students' peer adaptation and teacher-student adaptation to the overall situation are good, and the learning burnout is at a lower level, but the loneliness of the boarding students is serious.2)The level of interpersonal adaptation and behavioral adaptation of girls is higher than that of boys, and the degree of learning burnout is lower than that of boys.3)The higher the economic level in the area, the higher the interpersonal and behavioral adaptation of boarding students, and the lower the degree of learning burnout.4)Interpersonal adaptation, behavioral adaptation and learning burnout are highly correlated, and interpersonal and behavioral adaptation can significantly predict learning burnout.5)As a source of stress, interpersonal adaptation can not only directly affect the learning burnout of boarding students, but also indirectly influence learning burnout through the intermediary variables of behavioral adaptation.According to the research conclusions, this paper puts forward four suggestions: First,to improve the teacher-student adaptation of rural boarding students, boarding school teachers have a great responsibility;Second, improve the level of interpersonal and behavioral adaptation of boys, improve the acceptance of boys in schools;Third, enrich boarding school campus activities, reduce the loneliness of boarding students;Fourth,to reduce the learning burnout of the rural boarding students in the poverty-stricken areas, and to reduce the poverty in the targeted education.
