Study On The Family Status Of Married Women From Rural Area To Urban Area In Wuzhong

In the history,the status of women has been in the bottom of the social ladder over a long period of time and nobody cares about it.In China,after the reform and opening up,the issues related to women have been actively improved.However,facing the repression and restraint of thousands of years,the improvement of woman's social status is not achieved overnight.If the social status of women is the symbol of a society's level of civilization,the family status of women then have the direct bearing on the development of women themselves and the social economy.According to the data of the third survey on Chinese woman's social status report,the social status of Chinese women still needs to be improved.In the vast rural areas,married women is still a continuation of family pattern of tradition division of labor,so they are mainly responsible for domestic work,but the fruits of their labor are often overlooked.Besides,due to influence and conventions from the traditional customs and rules of family tradition,their power and position in the family still needs to be improved.The sights of the writer is focused on the family status of married women,comparing it from the rural area to the urban area.Attempting to study the family status of married women in rural area and urban area by comparison,and trying to give some theoretic contribution to the improvement of the family status and even the social status of married women.In summary,the paper is established in the theory of the subjects of sociology and anthropology and so on,conducting a sample survey on the family status of married women in Wu Zhong,and comparing it from rural area to urban area.The survey is based on five dimensions:the right of distribution of property in family;the decision and the division of labor in family affairs;the autonomy of job choosing;the right of children' s education and the right to arrange own spare time in married life,which made a detailed analysis of the family status of married women.By using the method of literary and empirical study and choosing Wu Zhong as a case of field investigation,meanwhile,sorting out the data of married woman's family status of Wu Zhong and interview data,the author draws the following conclusions.First,compared to the traditional time,the contemporary woman's family status has been improved,but in some areas,it still needs to be further improved.Second,there still are some differences in woman's family status between rural area and urban area.By the analysis and summary of the results of empirical investigation,the author summarize the problems such as women have no right to distribute the property in family;the inequality of family status between men and women;the loss of woman's rights to make decisions;the negligence of the voice of women;The weakness independent consciousness of female,and so on.The author also analyzed the reasons for these problems:the local economic development level is law,women have poor education;unreasonable concept of gender awareness still exists;ethnic customs and traditional family values have a deep influence on people.
