The Development Of Contemporary Western Materialism And Referential Significance To The Ideological And Political Education

Marxism insists on dialectical materialism and historical materialism,which is originated from western materialism.Karl Marx had ever absorbed the nutrition of materialism from the western materialism.Wherefore researching on the development of western materialism is beneficial to uphold and develop Marxist philosophy.Since twentieth century,with the rapid development of physics,psychology,brain science and computer science,and other natural sciences,also including philosophy itself,the materialism not only turn into further improve in the twists,but also product the important influence on the specific disciplines.The researching and exploring on the theoretical forms of materialism in contemporary and reasons of these phenomena have profound theoretical and practical significance for recognizing and grasping the theoretical system of Ideological and political education in China’s materialistic philosophy and promoting the teaching reform of Ideological and political theory course education.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part gives a brief introduction on the topic of background and significance of the researching,combing both domestic and foreign scholars’ ideas on the development of contemporary materialism in recent years,pointing out the difficulties and innovations on the basis of them at the same time.The second part gives the detailed explanation of the forms of materialism in the modern academy,illuminating the connotative meaning of each form,establishing a correct understanding based on the materialistic monism at the same time.The third part mainly discusses the censure of materialism’s development,interpreting the problems that materialism faced in the contemporary western academic,and analyzing how do these blames under the natural science and philosophy of mind challenge the predominance of materialism.The fourth part is how to understand the development of materialism’s development,also including how to discriminate various forms,qualia and hard problem of consciousness from Marxism.The fifth part mainly discusses the significance of researching contemporary western materialism` development for the ideological and political education.This part is also the main content in this paper,mainly through following two aspects: analyzing the similarities and differences between Western materialism and the materialism in ideological and political theory system of our country,the western materialism’ complementary to the ideological and political theory system of our country,to conclude the reference reasonably.Try to sum up the enlightenment significance meanwhile.Specifically speaking,the materialism from our ideological and political education is different from western materialism in the theoretical basis and practical basis,the later could complement and enrich the former on relevant teaching.The paper points out that the educators of our ideological and political education should pay attention to the attainment of the natural science,integrating the Marxist dialectical materialism and historical materialism into the brain of natural science major,helping the college students to enhance and improve the understanding and holding for dialectical materialism and historical materialism in the process of learning knowledge of natural sciences consciously.
