In recent years,on the basis of previous studies,educationist Yongxin Zhu put forward a New Education Experiment suitable for China based on the present situation of education in China and the background of the times."Reading" is the head of action,and the New Education Reading action has been carried out more and more in the whole country,but most of them are in liberal arts but few in scientific subjects.These days,few researchers have begun to implement New Education Reading in primary science,according to the concept of "education for all" in New Education,New Education Reading should also be carried out in junior biology.This paper takes Suzhou as an example to investigate the reading status of students and teachers in the first year of junior high school biology,It provides a realistic basis for the implementation of New Education Reading in junior biology.The invesgation fond that there are many problems in biology reading in the first year of junior high school in Suzhou area.For example: students' reading has utilitarian purposes,reading content is not scientific,the scientificalness of reading can not be guaranteed,external support is not enough and so on.Teachers' lack of cognition of New Education Reading and the insufficient execution are also the major problems.According to the results of the survey,proposals have been offered from three aspects that influent students' reading:teacher,school and family,providing a reference for the implementation of New Education in biology reading in suzhou middle schools.
