| The primary task of the 7th grade students is study,and the academic achievements are of great importance.If you want to help them improve academic achievements,you must know more about the influencing factors and then take appropriate measures to intervene these factors.The 7th grade students have just entered middle school from the primary school,confronted with heavier study and life adaptation problem under new circumstance.If they can realize the value of time,distribute and use it properly,it’s helpful for improving academic achievements.This research explored the relationship and influencing mechanism between time management ability and academic performance and constructed a group guidance program which applied to the 7th grade students and focuses on time management in order to intervene their time management ability as well as verify intervention effect.This research chose the 7th grade students from a local middle school in Hubei province as test objects to carry out questionnaire survey,having given out 304 questionnaires and recovered 297 valid ones in total.By calculating and analyzing the recovered data,explored the effect that time management had on study grades and its influencing mechanism.It also selected 24 students who were not good at time management,having divided them into two groups:the experimental group and the control group,in which there were 6 boys and girls respectively.Moreover,we implemented seven group guidance intervention activities on the theme of time management only for the former group to probe into how effectively the group guidance activities improved the 7th grade students’ time management ability.The research results indicated that(1)significant time management negatively signified academic procrastination,significant academic procrastination positively signified learning burnout,significant learning burnout negatively signified academic achievements,academic procrastination and learning burnout indeed played a chain intermediary role in the effect that time management had on academic achievements.The students with strong time management ability could manage themselves well,distribute time properly,improve study efficiency,reduce procrastination and they would further increase learning initiative and motive after experiencing academic success,thus reducing learning burnout psychology,ensuring complete academic tasks and improving academic achievements.(2)After short-term group guidance intervention for test objects,their academic procrastination and learning burnout degree have been apparently lower than before intervening,while time management total points and its sub-dimension score and academic achievements were apparently higher than before.The data results showed that after the group guidance intervention activities,the test objects’ time management levels have been improved a little,academic procrastination and learning burnout tendency has been declined apparently,academic achievements have been improved significantly higher than before. |
