Meta reading is a student's perception of his reading process.In recent years,European and American countries have attached great importance to the study of students' reading and formed a series of theoretical and practical research results.With the emergence of metacognitive psychology,the study of metacognition is of great significance to the reform of Chinese primary and secondary school reading teaching,and provides a new way of thinking for the reform of the existing reading teaching methods in primary and secondary schools.This study is based on meta reading theory and based on the standard of Chinese curriculum for full-time compulsory education.Through the investigation and analysis of the current situation of Chinese reading of junior high school students,this paper discusses the composition of the meta reading strategy,the importance of using the meta reading strategy in the Chinese reading teaching activities in junior middle school,and how to implement the teaching strategy of meta reading in the teaching of Chinese Reading in junior middle school.The author conducted a questionnaire survey on the use of meta reading strategies for 450 junior high school students in Xining,Qinghai province.The questionnaire was composed of two parts of junior middle school students' language learning and junior middle school students' use of meta reading strategies.The results show that the overall level of using meta reading is not high among junior high school students.Specifically,when reading,students only use the strategy of meta reading strategy,and seldom use monitoring and self-evaluation strategies.This shows that junior middle school students do not understand how to use meta reading strategies to help them read.The above findings indicate that teachers should improve their understanding of meta reading strategies in reading class.Adhering to the combination of students' main body and teachers' guidance,the result is equal to the process,the combination of individuals and collectives,and the principle of unity between scientific construction and continuous improvement.On this basis,it can effectively train and guide students to use meta reading plan strategy,monitoring strategy and reflective evaluation strategy to improve the Chinese reading ability of junior high school students to the maximum extent.It is hoped that the research results of this subject can provide some practical basis for the implementation of the meta reading teaching strategy in the teaching of Chinese reading in junior middle school,and hope to have some enlightenment on how to improve the students' meta reading ability in the teaching of Chinese reading.
