In learning and research,falsification and criticism are the most important cognitive and personality consciousness,research on critical thinking has emerged in western countries since the mid of 20 th Century.From 1980 s,some studies have been reported in China.In recent years,since the development of Chinese new standard curriculum and the development of times,the cultivation of students' critical thinking has received increasingly attention in senior high school.Aiming at this phenomenon,this paper is based on the study of the theory of the critical thinking,and takes "the ordinary high school language curriculum standard"(2017)as the basis,combining the characteristics of Chinese curriculum subject with the feature of high school students thinking development,trying to find out the strategies and methods of cultivating the critical thinking ability of high school students from the teaching practice of modern literature reading.The author has extensively collected real classroom cases in the teaching of modern Chinese reading in high school,and carried out specific analysis and research in combination with the connotation,characteristics,training approaches and influencing factors of critical thinking.This paper uses literature research,interview research and case study to complete the analysis and discussion,the analysis shows that critical thinking can be cultivated.And Chinese subject itself extremely has the advantage of cultivating critical thinking,and at the same time high school students' s stage of physical and mental development is conducive to the cultivation of critical thinking and development.Finally,the paper concludes the specific strategy of cultivating students' critical thinking in the teaching of modern Chinese reading in high school: the teacher should try to use diverse teaching method,create a democratic classroom environment,use multivariate appropriate evaluation method,in order to promote students' critical awareness of generation,and stimulate the formation of students' ability to question;Students should form an active learning mode,enrich their own learning materials and learning contents,cultivate the habit of critical thinking and improve the level of critical thinking.I hope that this article research results can provide certain theoretical basis and reference value to the cultivating of students' critical thinking in modern article reading teaching in high school,and have certain significance to optimizing the modern article reading teaching.
