With the advancement of curriculum reform,history class in high school pays more attention to cultivating students' core accomplishment of the discipline,and to the creation of historical situation,The vivid plot,the contextualized language and the unconscious education of the story will enlighten the classroom teaching.In practice,however,the story-teaching effect in high school is not very desirable,and there are a variety of cognitive errors.Therefore,to highlight the value of " story" in high school classroom,this study will discuss "what is the story teaching,why the story should be taught in high school,and how to use it concretely".The first part clarifies the characteristics and definition of story,and explains the difference and connection between the story and the historical story.Next,the concept of story teaching is put forward.That is,teachers make full use the advantages of the story in the teaching,to achieve the teaching goal in a better way,and to improve the students'core quality about history,which is the further development of the traditional "story teaching method".And this paper classifies the stories that can be used in classroom teaching based on time,center,content and authenticity of the story.The second part deeply analyzes the role and function of story teaching in high school history teaching.Its indispensable status in history teaching is determined by the historical consistent narrative tradition and characteristics of history.Story teaching can meet the needs of the students' physical and mental development,and it can be adapted to current college entrance examination reform as a result of the contextualized proposition.In addition,the use of story teaching in high school classroom is conducive to the transformation of teaching mode and the practice of curriculum reform.It is beneficial to cultivate students' home country feelings and humanistic culture;It is helpful to cultivate students' historical thinking ability,such as,the concept of time and space,historical explanation ability and historical critical thinking necessary to carry out historical material evidence.Therefore,the use of story teaching in high school is conducive to the cultivation of students' historical core quality.The first step of story teaching is how to choose a story.The author lists the common sources for the selection of story materials in the third part,such as historical classics,literary works and video recordings.Then the four cardinal principles to be followed in the selection of stories:authenticity,directivity,heuristic and simplicity.In the use of specific strategies,they can be classified as teachers present,students present and multimedia present in accordance with the subject of the story present;according to the nodes used in the story,they can be divided into the story to introduce,the story to end,and the story as a clue throughout the class.The author will discuss the using strategies of story teaching in the classroom and also the problems which need to be focused in the course of 1 history teaching class in high school.
