Since high school learning is crucial for students,it is the high school students’ learning engagement that concerns the public and researchers. As family is the initial school for human being, family environment functions as a fundamental part in students’ learning experience.Students’ study status is profoundly influenced by one’s behavioral habits and characters which are rooted in his family.Family economic status influences learning engagement via academic self-efficacy which functions as a mediation(Ying-Min Chen,2013).This article means to provide some theoretical basis for the promotion of high school students’ psychological capital and learning engagement by focusing on doing an investigation on the relationship between high school students family environment and learning engagement, with the addition of the mediational function of psychological capital.Applying FES-CV,translated and edited by scholars including Li-Peng Fei,A questionair of adolescent positive psychological capital by Yi-Tuo Ye and Bi-Ji Fang and UWES-S of high school students, edited by Wei Chen on the basis of UWES-S,this research is based on a survey of 527 high school students’ responses. The conclusions are as follows:1.The overall state of high school students’ family environment is in a normal degree.2.The overall state of high school students’ psychological capital is above average.3.The overall state of learning engagement is above average, which shows no significant difference created by demographic variables.4.There is significant correlation between family environment, psychological capital and learning engagement.5.Family environment and learning engagement are fully mediated by psychological capital.
