China is known as the "world factory" in the world. The comparative advantage of the labor force has attracted a large number of investors.China's export trade volume has also increased year by year, becoming a major exporter. However,in recent years,China's aging population has been severe, and the surplus rural labor force has decreased. The low fertility phenomenon has also led to a continuous decrease in the number of new-age laborers, which has directly led to a shortage of labor supply. The phenomenon of underemployment in various places has forced labor costs to rise.In addition, migrant workers flow to the cities and face higher prices and higher consumption in cities. In order to support themselves and their families, they have higher wage demands. In addition, people's awareness of their rights protection has begun to increase, and China's minimum wage standard system has also been implemented nationwide, which has also caused rising labor costs in the country. At the same time, lower labor costs in Vietnam,India and other regions are attracting investors. The United States also proposes "reindustrialization" in an attempt to return investment to the country. In this context, does the relative advantage of domestic labor costs still exist? How will China's export trade be affected? It is unavoidable to choose the wages of laborers only to measure labor costs. This paper also chooses the unit labor cost to measure. When the remuneration of a country's labor force increases, but it subsequently produces a higher value of labor production, that is,the increase in labor productivity is greater than the increase in labor remuneration, then it still has a comparative advantage. Therefore, using unit labor costs to study whether China still has a comparative advantage. The reason for choosing manufacturing industry is that in the export industry of China, the manufacturing industry accounts for the largest proportion, and its exports are also the most affected by the low-cost labor force. When the labor cost changes, the most vulnerable industry is the manufacturing industry. In this regard, according to the comparative advantage theory, through the study of the status quo of China's labor costs and the status quo of manufacturing exports, empirical analysis to explore the causal relationship between the two.The full text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction, introduces the research background and research significance, builds the overall framework of the article and outlines the main research content of the article, and finally explains the research methods, innovation points and deficiencies. The second chapter is the theoretical basis and literature review. The third chapter is to analyze China's manufacturing exports.First analyzes the overall export status of China and compares it with the manufacturing industry, then divides China's manufacturing export products into high-tech products and other products, and compares and analyzes the status quo of exports of different structures of China's manufacturing industry. The fourth chapter analyzes the status quo of domestic labor costs.Analysing the changes in China's labor costs from different perspectives,it also conducted an international comparative analysis. The fifth chapter is the empirical research part. The impact of labor costs on the total export value of China's manufacturing industry and the value of high-tech products' exports was empirically analyzed, and the impact of unit labor costs on exports of different types of products was compared. The sixth chapter is the research conclusion and outlook.Summarize the conclusions of each part of the study and provide reasonable suggestions for the development of China's manufacturing industry.
