Social workers,as full-time service personnel who provide assistance to others in the field,are active in various fields such as social welfare,community correction,and justice,and domestic social worker services have also begun to gradually expand into neighborhoods such as health,education,social security,and psychological counseling.It plays an important role in the social grassroots field.However,due to the immature development of the domestic social work industry,people who are essentially engaged in social work do not have the relevant professional qualities and skills,and the specialization level of professional workers is low.The assessment of the competence of professional social workers has become a top priority.However,domestic research on the competence of social workers is basically a blank field.In recent years,some scholars have begun to pay attention to this undeveloped field.However,a systematic research system has not yet been formed and an authoritative social work competency model has not been successfully established.Extended social worker competence research has an important basic role in the development of this field.Similarly,at the current stage where the professionalization of social workers is not yet mature,if the concept of competence is introduced into the professional system,a new model system research is conducted,and The selection and evaluation of talents in practice provide better solutions that will be conducive to the development of the professionalization of social workers,and are also more conducive to the better management and development of institutions such as non-profit organizations and other social workers.This study takes Xiamen's front-line social workers as an example.The main research method is the hybrid research method.The specific process is first to construct a set of applicable first-line social worker competency models and optimize them through data.The main model is Three modules:professional roles,professional skills,and personal characteristics;followed by the construction of a competency model,which gathers data through interviews and questionnaires,and systematically analyzes the competency status of social workers from specific competency characteristics.The analysis and research found that:First-line social workers show certain advantages in terms of professional identity,interpersonal relationship,and internal drive,but they have relatively poor performance in the accumulation of professional knowledge and problem solving capabilities.Based on the findings of the current research,the author proposes that the advantage level of social workers should be used as the basic level of competency,that is,the basis for the selection,' recruitment and promotion of social workers,and the disadvantage level as an expansion aspect of selection,recruitment,and promotion.It also gives specific suggestions for talent selection,cultivation and development.
