From an international relations perspective, the present work introduces feminism as part of an international relations theory. The documentary research is divided into three parts:theory of feminism, history and methodology. The last two parts are mainly focused on the comparison of the feminist process in two specific countries:United States of America and Colombia. The nature of this work is mainly emphasized in feminist art in both societies.Art made for women acts as an evidence of the feminist process and supports the research to understand clearly how the women's movement has been changed or modified. This last part will be supported by a historical background. Finally the results will document the construction of feminism and might explain the interaction between a particular society(having in mind politics, history, and cultural aspects)and the women issues.
