Business Strategy And Moral Practice Of Family Workshops

This paper investigates the business strategy and moral practice of Bai tie-dyeing workshop operators in Zhoucheng village,Yunnan province.From the perspective of modernization,by sorting out the operator's self-expression and their behavior in the usual business,and connect it with the history and social environment,trying to reflect the social changes in the context of the times,opportunities and challenges brought by modernization to personal life,and reflect on modernization.The study begins with the acquaintance with the operator of a family tie-dyeing workshop—cyh,there are two kinds of values in his body:utilitarianism and honesty,and the two different values exist in the process of modernization,these two values are endowed with different moral imagination.By reviewing relevant studies,the core concepts of this paper are"business strategy" and "moral practice",analysis the meaning dislocation of modernization,hidden behind the two different behavior.The main body of the article consists of three parts.The first part describes the business strategy of family workshops.By demonstrating cyh's behavior and value orientation in different business activities,on the one hand,benefit from economic development,and the popularization and progress of internet technology,their family living standards have been improved,on the other hand,influenced by traditional family structures and cultures,the family workshops can no longer meet cyh's pursuit of economic benefits,the business model needs to be transformed to achieve greater growth,but the transition has been delayed.In the article,the relationship between tradition and modernity is complex,one side,tradition culture has helped to improve the economy,but also,limited further change.The second part describes cyh's moral practice.One is the operator's own words and deeds are inconsistent,in speech emphasizes the integrity,but in action to comply with the utilitarian,at the same time,he also feel uneasy;Second,as a member of the village,cyh once broke the village tie-dye principle-pass inside not pass outside,but this behavior lasted only a few years and then interrupted,then taught on a fee basis;Third,if in the first two aspects,cyh's moral is ambiguous,so here,cyh explicitly refused to the behavior he does not approve.Finally,summarized cyh's behavior by the concept of marginal man.The third part is the conclusion.First,I summarizes the contents of the first part and the second part,consider cyh's contradictory behavior as a moral dilemma,follow the market to pursue interests,or adhere to his own moral principles.I think it is the dilemma of modernization.Although there are reasons of social change,but more important is the significance of modernization in different levels are deviated,the official covered different groups of different needs for modernization,and at the same time,the government did not play the role of night watchman,and individuals fall into dilemma.Therefore,I reflect on the modernization,and put forward some immature views,the subjectivity of the people should put into the connotation of modernization again.
