| Many countries of the world have been facing with the problem of the differences between urban and rural education,and the quality of rural education obviously lags behind the general level of the city.Although Australia is a developed country,the education is still in a state of “high quality and low equality” for a long time,and the issue of the educational equity has been a bottleneck in the improvement of rural schools’ educational quality.Teacher is one of the most critical factors that affect the educational quality.Only when the strength of rural teachers is guaranteed,such as establishing a stable and high-quality teacher team,can the rural education be improved.In order to solve the problem of insufficient numbers and low-level rural teachers,the Commonwealth of Australia has formulated a series of policies and measures to strengthen the construction of rural teachers.In 2009,Australia officially launched the Teach for Australia,which not only delivered a large number of outstanding associates for rural schools in Australia,eased the shortage of teachers in rural areas,but also cultivated a group of outstanding young people with a sense of mission and leadership,that they committed to the development of the national educational equity and excellence.This thesis systematically analyzes and studies the successful experiences and inadequacies of Teach for Australia associates’ teacher training system and safeguard mechanisms,to provide suggestions for the strategy formulation and implementation of rural teacher training in China.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this thesis mainly consists of five parts: The first part focuses on the implementation background of the Teach for Australia through three aspects,such as the cycle of disadvantage about Australian rural education;the lack of quantity and quality of rural teachers in Australia;and the promotion of Teach for All.The second part systematically introduces the teacher training system of Teach for Australia associates.Mainly from training goal,curriculum setting,clinical practice and intensive training.The third part comprehensively expounds the protection mechanism of the Teach for Australia associate teacher training from five aspects,such as,policy and law;capital input;high quality source of teachers;teachers’ training costs and the salary levels;and diverse Network System Support.The fourth part is the achievements,characteristics and problems of the Teach for Australia associate teacher training.The last part is to critically examine and learn from the experience of Teach for Australia,and make specific suggestions on the training of rural teachers in China around the selection,training and guarantee. |
