Mathematics language is the result of human thought for a long time,it is a kind of knowledge and culture,it is also the carrier of mathematics thought,it has the science language of the symbolic system of mathematics.There are three forms of mathematical language: word language,symbolic language and graphic language.In the improvement of students 'thinking ability,mathematical language plays a vital role and is irreplaceable in other languages.Mathematical language competence is the ability to use mathematical language,including mathematical language comprehension,mathematical language translation and mathematical language expression.The ability of mathematics teachers to consciously cultivate their students 'mathematical language ability is directly related to their own knowledge reserve and the degree of attention to this ability.How is the ability of elementary school students in mathematical language? This study will investigate the level of students 'ability in mathematics language and discuss the reasons that may affect students' ability in mathematics language.This paper first divides the components of mathematical language ability,and then makes the examination paper of the third grade students 'mathematical language ability and tests the students,then investigates the students' ability in mathematics language and analyses it,and puts forward the teaching suggestions for the first-line mathematics teachers.After a series of investigations and studies,the results of these studies are analyzed and the following conclusions are obtained:(1)The overall level of mathematical language competence of students in the third grade of primary school is low.Through the interview and the researcher's observation in the classroom,it may be related to the importance that teachers attach to students 'ability.(2)There is a significant correlation between the various dimensions of mathematical language ability.Each step requires the ability of other dimensions to understand,translate,and express mathematical languages.It is of little significance if one is to cultivate them alone,and must be cultivated at the same time.(3)There are obvious differences in the abilities of students in different classes in terms of mathematical language.Different classes in the teachers,in the class atmosphere and students on the basis of learning,which may be the cause of the obvious differences between different classes of students.(4)The differences in the abilities of boys and girls in mathematics and language are not significant.From the conclusion of the research,the author puts forward four suggestions on the ability training of teachers in the field of mathematics language: to raise the attention and awareness of teachers;To teach students to look at problems from different perspectives;In teaching,teachers should pay attention to train students to use the consciousness of combination of number and type.Let the student's mind be able to carry on the really effective thinking,reduces the seemingly lively can not cause the student to think the false participation which the thought raises.
