With the fully promotion of basic education reform,the idea of quality education is gradually pervasive.Instead of the traditional teaching model,now more and more primary school Chinese teachers attempt to use the innovative methods to establish and create new Chinese teaching styles in primary school,which has a positive influence on current Chinese teaching.Wang Songzhou,national renowned teacher of special grade,is dedicated himself to the practice of the reform of Chinese teaching in primary school,developing his representative teaching style “Hangpai”.The study on Wang’s poetic Chinese teaching styles can provide teachers with valuable references,in the meantime contributing to the development of current Chinese teaching.To study on Wang Songzhou’s teaching style about poetic Chinese and its implications for current Chinese teaching,this paper,which is divided into three parts,is constructed with case study method and literature research method.The first part is a brief introduction of Wang Songzhou’s idea of poetic Chinese and the characteristics of the teaching style.There are two ways to interpret his philosophy of education,“Look at the Night Sky” and “Poetic Dwelling” respectively.And his fundamental understanding of the characteristics of Chinese is expanded in the chapter about five ascriptions.In combing through Wang’s classic teaching cases,the characteristics of his teaching styles can,therefore,be generalized as delicacy,harmony,tolerance and openness.Serving as the highlight of the study,the second part focuses on the forming of Wang’s teaching styles about poetic Chinese from different perspectives by discussing theoretical basis,internal motivation and model lessons.Concrete analysis and interpretation of his philosophy foundation,teachers’ professional development and typical classes are also carried out to help the study.In the final section of the study,the implications for current Chinese teaching are extracted on the grounds of the analysis of the influence of Wang’s teaching style.It is hoping that to draw up a blueprint for current and,also,future development of Chinese teaching by abstracting the characteristics of Wang Songzhou’s teaching style about poetic Chinese and finding the ways that his style forms.To a certain extent,the study provides Chinese teachers in primary schools with a new point of view about teachers’ attainment,teaching methods and teaching environment,and more importantly,a reference when exploring their own teaching styles,adding insight into the development of current Chinese teaching.
