The competition brought by the transformation of the market economy has shrunk the traditional state-owned collective economy and changed the picture of the labor market.Some new economy forms have emerged after we entered the “new normal”.What’s more,the development of Internet has brought innovation to the forms of flexible employment,a growing number of people achieved flexible employment through internet,there emerged new features in the field of employment,technical means,organizational methods,etc.Some studies suggest that the Internet has changed the channels of work seeking,broke up labor market and challenged the labor relations,many other scholars have discussed the relationship between the workers and internet platform.What attracted me is that “is there any significant heterogeneity among flexible employees who are employed through different channels? Will the internet change the practice of flexible employment workers,or even affect their future option?If so,what is the mechanism?Based on the research data of China Institute of Labor and Social Security,this study analyzes the heterogeneity of on-line and off-line flexible employee.They are different in demographic and employment characteristics.The research discovered that the internet flexible employment is women-pro,younger trend,highly educated and can reduce the barriers of household registration.In employment,online flexible employment is high-income trends,more flexible in working time,more path depended,has offered more part-time opportunities for formal workers,these workers are more willing to choose formal work in the future.We find that the internet has mediation effect on workers’ job choice.After analyzing the difference between part-time and standby online workers,we found that the standby workers are weaker groups,have more dependence on internet platform and seeking more security.Based on these analysis,we tried to build a Job Preferences Model of Flexible Employee.At the end of the article,we put forward some suggestions.Firstly,we should keep the balance of the flexibility and security of flexible employee.Secondly,we should solve the basic medical care and old-age security of flexible workers;Thirdly,the service system of flexible workers is necessary;Lastly,we should build the platform and offer a bridge between enterprises and the government.
