B.C.provincial education has enjoyed a long reputation in the world,which attached great importance for mother tongue education,following the 2006 "English language arts".Since September of 2017 which started in kindergarten until the beginning of September in the implementation of the new curriculum standards of the native language,it was said to absorb the new education idea represents the direction of reform.There is a strong reference for Chinese native curriculum standards.On the comparative study of the 2011 primary school curriculum standards of the Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards in China and the 2017 English Language Arts Curriculum Standards in Canada,this article focuses on the comparative study of the goals and content of the two mother tongue programs.The similarities and differences of the curriculum provide reference for improving the mother tongue curriculum in our country.The content of this paper is divided into six chapters.In the first chapter,we first conducted a comparative study of the curriculum standards in Chinese and foreign primary schools and the comparative study of curriculum standards in Chinese and Canadian primary schools and the objectives and content of curriculum standards in Chinese and Canadian primary schools.The second chapter mainly defines the related terms such as “curriculum standards”,“primary school mother tongue curriculum” and “curriculum goals and contents”;Chapter 3 sets out the general objectives of the primary school curriculum standards for primary schools in China and Canada.As well as the goal and content of the overall goal,reading goals and content,as well as writing goals and content,the factor analysis was conducted.In the fourth chapter,the differences between the two countries’ mother tongue curriculum standards were summarized and suggestions were made for the problems existing in the mother tongue curriculum standards in China.Through the comparison and analysis of the current mother-tongue curriculum standards between China and Canada,we can understand the mother tongue curriculum standards of the two countries from a diversified perspective,grasp their common rules and characteristics,and allow Chinese language education researchers to have a deeper understanding of our country.Compulsory education language curriculum standards can also learn from the useful parts of the Canadian mother tongue curriculum standards.It will provide some reference and enlightenment for the continuous improvement of our mother tongue curriculum standards,at the same time,it can also enrich the Chinese and Canadian mother tongue curriculum standards comparative study of relevant information,also could provide some references for the later researchers.
