Along with the rapid development of "sharing economy",the individual is becoming more and more not content with a single job experience,multiple job holding has become a trend in today's society.Despite multiple job holding has developed rapidly,but most organizations are still suspicions about this new style of employment,concerns about multiple job holder will perform worse than single worker.So individuals and organizations have contradictory attitude towards multiple job holding.In order to solve the contradiction between individual and organization management about multiple job holding,it must to focus on individual engaged in multiple job holding motivation as well as the effects,especially to the influence of the full-time job performance.The phenomenon of multiple job holding is highly situational,and existing research is relative lack and scattered,so with the method of qualitative research to answer why individuals engaged in multiple job holding and the impact on the main job,through interviewing 30 multiple job holders to obtain first-hand material,using grounded theory method for three-level coding,finally get the following conclusions:first,the motivation of multiple job holding comes from the existing full-time job not reached full state,being person-job not fit;second,job resource of second job affect resources expansion,job requirement of second job affect resources depletion;third,as the way to reach the full work state,multiple job holding may cause multiple job holding conflict and enrichment,the key factors are work priority of the main job and the second job,the resources of the second job being consistent with the requirements of the main job,consistency of the requirements of the main job and the sencond job;forth,individuals use the way of multiple job holding to reach the full state of work,the full state means two or more jobs provide resources together to meet the individual needs,and the individual also be able to make full use of their own resources to meet the requirements of the two(more)job.The conclusions can explian the motivation and influence of multiple job holding;also,it can expand the theory of resource depletion and resource expansionist to the area of multiple job holding,responding to the call of paying attention to the person-enviroment misfit.In practice,it can help organizations face the pros and cons of multiple job holding,to harmonize the contradiction between the organizational management and multiple job holders.
