This study is intended to develop instructional design of algebra in senior high school on the basis of mathematical culture.For this purposes,there are two research problems set up as follows: First,what is the principle for combining mathematical culture into high school algebra? Second,how to use the principle above to carry out the instructional design of high school algebra based on mathematical culture.Case study method,questionnaire survey and interviewing method were adopted to study ‘the concept of function' and ‘simple linear programming'.To begin with,it carry out teaching plan design integrating mathematics culture in the high school algebra.Then,putting the teaching plan into effect and further checked out by classroom observation,questionnaire survey and interview.Finally,improving and amending teaching plans according to the introspection after carrying out and analyzing.The main research conclusions are as follows: First,it is entirely feasible that integrating mathematical culture into high school algebra to follow the principle of goal realization and cultural principle.Second,this kind of teaching design can help students to easily study algebra.Third,it also can help pre-service teachers to improve their specialty literacy.In conclusion,there are several advice as follows:First,pre-service teachers and novice teachers should focus on learning the theories of mathematical culture and teaching practice based on mathematical culture,in order to promote their professional development and their students' mathematical study.Second,the combination with mathematical culture and teaching design needs integrating with the knowledge and culture to better carry out the teaching requirements of mathematical culture that put forward by new curriculum standard.
