Study On The Intergenerational Impact Of Parental Human Capital On Promotion Of Children's Position

The competition of comprehensive national strength in the world is becoming increasingly fierce.The competition of comprehensive national strength is essentially the competition between technology and talent.All countries in the world attach great importance to the accumulation and cultivation of human capital.Accumulation of human capital is the key to enhancing and promoting national competitiveness.However,with the deepening of the reform,our society has once again appeared the voice of "Paradox of Comparing Father" and "the Idea of the Uselessness of Study" in China.In this context,based on the national sample survey data,CGSS 2006,using the logistic model and hierarchical regression methods to carry out empirical research.From the perspective of parents' human capital,the influence mechanism of children's post promotion is studied in this paper,trying to explore the importance of human capital investment and reveal some unfair phenomena of education and promotion mechanism,and then some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.Firstly,the direct influence of parent's human capital on the promotion of children's position is compared and analyzed.Secondly,it analyzes whether the parent's human capital influences the promotion of children's position through the intermediary function of children's human capital or parents' political capital.Finally,a comparative analysis of the factors that affect the promotion of positions is made in this research.The following conclusions are drawn:The human capital of parents,especially mothers' that has remarkable impact on promotion of their children's positions;The promotion mechanism of public sector is influenced by family background and other factors than that of non-publie sector,which reflects the phenomenon of social injustice.No matter in what kind of department,the children's human capital has much greater influence on the promotion of their children,s positions than the parents,political capital,no matter whether it is a direct influence or an intermediary role of the parents' human capital,so "fighting hard" is more important than" competition of family background".Combined with the above conclusions,the following recommendations are made:First,the government and the individual should attach importance to the investment of human capital;Second,it is necessary to establish a fair and just social system and resolutely safeguard the fairness of education and promotion.The main innovations of this paper lie in:The impact of parental human capital on promotion of children's positions has been divided into different departments to conduct comparative research,and from the two perspectives of direct influence and mediating role,to respectively analyze the inter-generational impact of parental human capital on promotion of children,s;Secondly,through various comparative analysis,it tries to criticize the phenomenons of "Paradox of Comparing Father","the Idea of the Uselessness of Study" and "Relying on Relationship"so as to give corresponding policy reclnmendations.The research in this paper provides reference for future studies on the research of inter-generational transmission of various types of capital,inter-generational poverty phenomenon analysis of the disadvantaged stratum and influencing factors of position promotlon.
