Language is the bridge for communication between people, and communication is the best way for people to get close to each other. There are many ways to communicate and speaking is indispensable.During my internship school in Lanzhou City,I was in contact with a ninth-grade mentally retarded student.During my time with the students,I discovered that students had problems with oral expression, such as incomplete expression and low initiative. The purpose of this study is to try to adopt a variety of teaching strategies to improve students' problems in oral expression. This study selected 10 students in the 9th grade of a secondary school as the research object, researched and adopted the action research method, and used the observation method and interview method to understand the student's learning situation, the teacher's teaching status and the students' reaction in teaching practice.According to the existing problems in the current state of teaching,student-centered teaching strategies,problem-oriented teaching strategies, and comprehensive teaching strategies are adopted, and they are practiced together with class teacher to improve them once and solve the problems existing in each stage. After nearly four months of action research,as a whole: the ability of students with intellectual disabilities to improve their spoken expression has improved significantly;the degree of mental retardation of students is lighter, and the better their effect after receiving training and teaching strategies. In each dimension: the degree of improvement in the oral expression ability of students with intellectual disabilities in each dimension is somewhat different;Younger students are better at improving their initiative than older students; The younger students had a better improvement in the use of vocabulary than the older students, and the students with mild mental disorders had a better improvement in the use of vocabulary than students with moderate or severe mental retardation.Students are more progressive than other dimensions in the expansion of major events.
