With the development of information technology,computers and the Internet have been integrated into all aspects of our lives,they are also affecting our thinking slowly,and changing our way of solving problems.In this process,computational thinking is becoming increasingly important.It is urgent for people to cultivate computational thinking in the field of education.At present,the cultivation of computational thinking in primary and secondary education in China is still in the exploratory stage,and there is no systematic computational thinking training scheme.Many information technology courses in primary and secondary schools are focused on the acquisition of students’ computer skills,lacking of students’ computational thinking.In this context,the computational thinking cultivation is studied in this paper,and research object is the students in high-grade in primary school.This paper is based on the existing research,combined with the characteristics of the computational thinking,build the problem-based teaching model on the solution of the computational thinking training,and practiced in the teaching.It is helpful for primary and secondary schools to use ideas for the cultivation of the computational thinking.The main works of this study are as follows:(1)Looking up the existing literature,analyzing the significance of the problem solving in the study,and according to the five core of computational thinking and the existing teaching concepts,the paper constructs a problem-solving teaching mode of cultivating computational thinking for the upper primary students.The mathematical model and pattern chart of the teaching mode are also described in detail.(2)Questionnaire survey is used,the study attitude and the ability of calculation thinking of the research object we tested in the early stage,so as to better understand the present situation of the thinking of the teaching object and find out the problems that need to be paid attention to in the teaching.(3)It is explored the correlation between App Inventor programming and computational thinking.According to the problem-solving teaching mode of cultivating computational thinking,App Inventor programming teaching cases is designed and used in teaching practice.In the teaching activities,the students face a series of problems,through the solution of the problem to deepen the cognition of knowledge,and gradually improve their computational thinking ability.(4)In the study,the methods are adopted which include classroom observation,questionnaire test and interview.It is proved that construction teaching model is feasible through quantitative and qualitative analysis.This is a useful exploration to cultivate computational thinking for the upper primary students.
