The novel is a style that is closest to real life.Excellent novel work itself is a reproduction of concrete,rich,and real life.In fact,we read novels to experience a unique life.Novels are unique in literary style and have the most readers.It can characterize characters in various ways,meticulously describe the psychology of the characters,deeply express the conflicts between characters,and concretely reproduce the environment in which characters live.It also takes advantage of the prosperity of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign literature and has become an important teaching content for mother tongue education.By learning novels,we can broaden our horizons and purify our souls,which in turn can improve our Chinese literacy and aesthetic ability.However,at present,the actual situation of high school novel teaching in China is still not satisfactory.The pattern and fixed set of the content of the novel dispelled the stylistic characteristics and artistic charm of the novel,reduced the students’ interest in learning,and even made the students bored.With the deepening of curriculum reform,innovative teaching methods,and integration of new research results into the classroom,the form of high school novel teaching has been improved,but there is still little attention and research on the choice of teaching content.The rigid text interpretation the choice of methods,non-language and non-fiction teaching content needs to be improved.Therefore,this article attempts to proceed from the characteristics of stylistics and takes the reasonable choice of content in the novel as the research object.In my opinion,teaching what may be more important than how to teach it,because in the actual teaching process,only by understanding what the novel teaches in order to better discuss how the novel should be taught.We should return to the novel itself,accurately grasp the stylistic features of the novel,reasonably select the contents of the novel,teach the content that the novel should teach,and change the current situation in which teaching and learning are inefficient.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the paper is divided into five parts:The first part mainly introduces the status quo of high school novel teachingand the analysis of the status quo of high school novels.The second part focuses on the basic features of the novel style and the influence of the style of the novel on the selection of novel teaching content.The third part focuses on the requirements and breakthroughs in the selection of teaching content for high school novels from the perspective of stylistics.The fourth part puts forward the specific path to improve the status quo of novel teaching from four aspects: narrative techniques,narrative perspective,novel structure and cognitive structure.The fifth section shows the selection and explanation of the two teaching contents of High School novels "The Old Man and the Sea" and "Border Town."...
